Our newest expansion has been into African Railwood furniture, also known as sleeperwood. This year we will be featuring more selections of absolutely breathtaking furniture made from recycled railroad ties from 19th century Africa. We have contracted with an exclusive furniture manufacturer in South Africa that provides the quality our clients have come to expect. Custom orders allow clients to specify style, size, woods, grains, inlays and more.

Railwood furniture is made from recycled railroad ties ("sleepers") approximately 150 years old. The woods used to carve our furniture are White Ironwood , Black Ironwood and Rhodesian Teak These were the woods available at the time the railroads were being laid in the southern countries of Africa. The first cut of the top and then the bottom of the ties are rough in nature being referred to as "Rustic". The remaining cuts are smooth in nature. The demand for this product has increased, making the supply more difficult to obtain. This shortage has now created the need to even go into Mozambique to acquire this beautiful wood from long ago Africa.
